The "Hi 13" bet wins if the hand value is greater than 13. The "Lo 13" bet wins if the hand value is less than 13. The "13" bet wins if the hand value is exactly equal to 13. You cannot wager on the side bets unless they play the main game. But you do not have to win the main game in order to win the side bet. If you win the side bet you are paid immediately and then you play you main game in the usual manner. The "Hi 13" and "Lo 13" bets pay out at 1 to 1. The "13" bet pays out at 10 to 1. Hi Lo 13 European Blackjack Gold is played with two decks, which offers an advantage to the player. It is a single hand game with a bet range from AU$1 to AU$200. It obviously follows the structure of European Blackjack in which the dealer is not dealt the hole card and the dealer does not check for blackjack. Some of the other rules are as follows. The dealer has to stand on all 17. Players can double down only on totals of hard 9, 10 and 11 and cannot double down on split hands.
